Data Controller: Rapid Rides

Collection of Information: We obtain personal data directly from you when you engage with us, including but not limited to making bookings through our website, submitting registration forms, providing feedback, posting content, subscribing to newsletters, or otherwise contacting us. We also collect information automatically through your interaction with our website (e.g., via cookies and similar technologies), and, on occasion, from third parties such as mailing list providers.

Categories of Data Collected: The personal data we process may include your name, contact information, social media identifiers, payment details (including debit or credit card information), IP address, cookie data, details concerning your device and browser, records of website usage (such as pages visited, time and frequency of access, and navigation activity), geographical location (derived from your IP address), business identifiers such as company name and VAT number (where applicable), as well as your engagement and transaction history.

Purposes of Processing: We process your personal data for administrative and business purposes, including: the fulfilment of contractual obligations; contacting you in relation to your bookings; improving and developing our services and website; conducting marketing and advertising (including on behalf of selected third parties); analysing site usage; and complying with legal obligations or protecting our legal rights.

Disclosure to Third Parties: We may disclose your personal data to carefully selected partners where you have registered for specific events, services, or content. In addition, disclosures may be made to service providers, professional advisers, or other third parties where required for the operation of our business, for compliance with applicable law, or for the enforcement of our contractual or legal rights.

Sale of Data: Rapid Rides does not sell personal data to third parties. However, where you register for certain types of content or events (for example, webinars, downloads, or sponsored activities), the information you provide may be shared with relevant sponsors or partners. In such cases, we will provide you with clear and specific notice at the point of registration.

Data Retention: Personal data will be retained only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, subject to applicable statutory obligations (such as tax record retention) and the lawful bases described in this Privacy Policy. 

Security Measures: We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal data, including secure server storage, encryption of data transfers and payment transactions via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, and controlled access measures to ensure that only authorised persons may access such information.

International Data Transfers: Your personal data may be transferred outside of the European Economic Area. In such circumstances, we implement appropriate safeguards, including reliance on third-party service providers that have certified compliance with frameworks such as the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield.

Sensitive Personal Data: We do not intentionally collect data that falls within the legal definition of “sensitive personal data” (e.g., information regarding health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, or religious beliefs).

Cookies and Similar Technologies: Our website employs cookies and related tracking technologies, including essential, functional, analytical, and targeting cookies, as well as marketing automation tracking tools.
